Mobile Scoring Procedure

The 2020 Joanne Winter Arizona Silver Belle Championship will only use digital scorecards (no paper scorecards will be returned at scoring) by each individual player.

  • All players MUST download the Golf Genius app for her specific phone type

  • Each player is expected to arrive at her first tee with the latest version of the Golf Genius app already downloaded and a fully charged phone.

  • Players will login using the player GGID provided by the starter at their first tee to access the digital scorecard portion of the app. Paper scorecards will be provided for hole-by-hole yardage and expected pace of play.

  • Each player will be marking for one other player (just as you would with a paper scorecard). The digital scorecard has a section for the “Marker’s Notes” as well. This is equivalent to the tear strip at on a paper scorecard where the marker will input her own score.

  • At scoring, all players in the group must report any rules issues to the Committee and confirm that hole-by-hole scores are correct. If there are any discrepancies between the “Marker’s Notes” and the scores entered by the marker, the app will highlight them in yellow.

  • Once all scores are verified with the Silver Belle master computer, players will be prompted to “Certify as Marker” and then the player will move to “My Scores”, located at the top of the screen, and will be prompted to “Certify as Player”. This is equivalent to signing a paper scorecard and satisfies the requirements of Rule 3.3b. Scores will be official and returned once the player has left the scoring area defined in the Notice to Players.

In the event of a withdrawal during a round, contact any rules official or pace of play monitor as soon as possible for assistance to change marker assignments in Golf Genius.
